A NOTE FROM OUR OWNERS

JAMES AND HALEY FUTRAL

A husband with dreams of leaving a legacy and a wife who would do anything to help him make that happen, I couldn't describe us more perfectly.  Jimmy and I met during our careers in government construction and quickly realized we shared a love for this industry.  After we were married, we traveled around the country while Jimmy worked as a subject matter expert building security structures on multiple military bases.  We decided to make our way back to my home town and start pursuing our dream of owning our own construction company.  Jimmy received his General Contractor license and we began building our portfolio.  We are determined to maintain a successful company built on honesty, integrity and quality.  Jimmy always says it best, "we're locals and I want you to be proud to introduce me to your family when I see you in the grocery store."

MEET THE TEAM BUILDING YOUR DREAMS

James Futral

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Certified General Contractor

Jimmy Futral’s journey in construction began at just seventeen, swinging a hammer as a framer with a hunger to learn and a drive to do things right. What started as a hands-on introduction to building quickly evolved into a lifelong passion and a remarkable career. Through grit, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Jimmy worked his way up from the field to the front office, mastering every layer of the construction process along the way.

From overseeing major developments to guiding boots on the ground, Jimmy earned his reputation as a true builder’s builder—someone who understands both the blueprint and the people behind it. His leadership is rooted in experience, sharpened by training, and elevated by vision. He holds a Certified General Contractor license, a milestone that marked not only professional mastery but also the launch of GRAYT-A Construction—a company now responsible for more than $150 million in completed residential, commercial, and multifamily projects across the Emerald Coast in just four years. Jimmy’s credentials speak volumes. He is a current OSHA 502 Construction Industry Trainer, certified through the University of Alabama, and held a Certificate of Training in HMA Airfield Paving from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Transportation System Center, showcasing his specialized knowledge in airfield and heavy civil infrastructure. Also, held OHSA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, Basic Life Support, Heartsaver Instructor, and Lead Base Paint certificates. Recognized and trusted by both government and private sectors, Jimmy has held Top Secret and Secret security clearances through agencies like the EPA and GSA, in addition to maintaining military base clearance and a TWIC credential. These authorizations reflect not only technical competence, but also a level of trust and professionalism that few in the industry attain. Jimmy is also an approved builder in several of 30A’s most exclusive developments, respected for his knowledge of luxury coastal design and strict community guidelines. Yet, despite the high-profile projects and certifications, his focus remains simple: build with purpose, lead with integrity, and serve with heart. Outside the job site, Jimmy finds peace in the outdoors and spending time in nature are where he recharges. He shares this life with his wife, Haley, and their young son, Camden, who inspire his deeper mission: to build not just structures, but a legacy—one defined by integrity, craftsmanship, and impact.
